Privacy Policy
Information on the processing of personal data under Swiss data protection law (nDSG, in force since 1 September 2023)

2. Purpose of Data Processing
We process your data exclusively for the following purposes:
- Providing and operating the calculation tools (Delta Calculator, Tax Staggering Planner)
- Receiving and processing personal analysis requests
- Responding to contact enquiries by email
- Technical optimisation and further development of the website
3. Data Collected
3.1 Calculator inputs (non-personal)
Inputs entered into the Delta Calculator and the Tax Staggering Planner (e.g. insurance premiums, account balances, canton, age) are processed exclusively locally in your browser. This data is neither transmitted to our servers nor stored.
3.2 Personal analysis requests (personal data)
If you request a personal analysis and upload your insurance policy, we collect:
- Name: Your full name
- Email address: For sending back the analysis result
- PDF document: Your uploaded insurance policy (may contain personal data)
This data is stored in a secure database (PostgreSQL, hosted by Neon Inc., USA) and used exclusively to produce the personal analysis. The uploaded PDF is stored on Cloudflare R2 (USA).
Legal basis: Consent through active upload and request for analysis (Art. 6 para. 6 nDSG).
3.3 Technical access data
On each visit to the website, technical access data (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamp) is automatically recorded in server logs. This data is used exclusively for technical purposes and error analysis and is deleted after 30 days.
4. Use of AI Technologies
AI Transparency: This website uses AI technologies to support calculations and analyses.
The following providers act as sub-processors:
- Anthropic PBC (USA) – Claude AI for document analysis
- OpenAI LLC (USA) – GPT models for text processing
Data processing by these providers takes place on servers in the United States (USA). The transfer of data to third countries is secured by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC pursuant to EU GDPR, recognised under nDSG).
5. Data Transfers Abroad
⚠ Note on data transfer to the USA:
The following data may be transferred to providers in the USA if you request a personal analysis:
- Uploaded PDF documents → Cloudflare Inc. (Cloudflare R2), USA
- Analysis content → Anthropic PBC and/or OpenAI LLC, USA
- Email notifications → Polsia / Postmark (Wildbit LLC), USA
The transfer of data to third countries without an adequate level of data protection (such as the USA) is secured by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC) pursuant to Art. 16 nDSG. Processing is carried out exclusively for the agreed purpose (analysis of your insurance policy).
The calculation tools (Delta Calculator, Tax Staggering Planner) process your inputs exclusively locally in the browser and do not transmit any data to external servers.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
Personal analysis requests (name, email, PDF) are stored for the duration of processing, but for a maximum of 12 months from receipt. After this period, the data will be deleted.
Technical access logs are automatically deleted after 30 days.
7. Cookies and Tracking
This website uses no tracking cookies and no third-party analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics). Only technically necessary session data is processed in the browser, which is automatically deleted when the browser tab is closed.
A consent obligation under nDSG Art. 45c does not currently apply to this website.
8. Data Security (SSL/HTTPS)
All communication between your browser and this website is secured by TLS/SSL encryption (HTTPS). Uploaded documents are transmitted in encrypted form and stored securely.
9. Your Rights as a Data Subject
Under nDSG (Art. 25–27) you have the following rights:
- Right of access: You may request information about the data we store about you at any time.
- Right to rectification: You may request the correction of inaccurate data.
- Right to erasure: You may request the deletion of your data, provided no statutory retention obligations apply.
- Right to restriction: Under certain conditions you may request the restriction of processing.
- Right to object: You may object to the processing of your data.

We will respond to your request within 30 days. For unjustified or disproportionate requests we may charge a processing fee (Art. 25 para. 2 nDSG).
10. Right to Lodge a Complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) if you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to update this privacy policy at any time. The current version is always available on this page. In the event of material changes, we will notify you where possible.
